palonosetron hydrochloride

Metabolites - A hydrochloride salt of Palonoestron which is a 5-HT3 antagonist. It is used in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). Commonly known as setron and works by blocking serotonin from binding to the 5-HT3 receptor. Contains asymetric carbon centre and is used as pure (S,S)-stereoisomer.Reference standards of Palonosetron Hydrochloride API,and its pharmacopeial, non pharmacopeial impurities, and stable isotopes are listed below.
