Applications:	Lathosterol-d7 is the labelled analog of Lathosterol, a Cholesterol metabolite. Lathosterol (indicating cholesterol synthesis) and Sitosterol (indicating cholesterol absorption) also decreased with deteriorating health. Low Lathosterol, Sitosterol, and Cholesterol predicted mortality additively and independently of each other.
